Martin Scholars
The Felix E. Martin, Jr. Foundation wants to help make your plans for achieving your associate degree a reality. The Foundation and Madisonville Community College have joined together to create the Martin Scholars Program, designed to help adults who have made a good start on their associate degree, but for whatever reason, haven’t had the chance to finish.

Who is eligible for Martin Scholars?
Full-time residents of Muhlenberg County age 25 and older who:

  • have not earned a college degree and
  • have successfully completed at least 30 credit hours of college-level coursework from any regionally accredited Kentucky college or university.

About Martin Scholars
Students accepted in the program will receive a $250 cash stipend each semester they make satisfactory progress toward a degree at Madisonville Community College. Students may use the funds to offset any costs you may encounter while finishing your degree: books, supplies, transportation, child care, etc. Martin Scholars are required to complete a Business Employability Skills course (1 credit hour).

In addition, each Martin Scholar will receive a $400 bonus when they complete their degree at MCC!
